Redbank Valley Trail and Sligo Spur Trail – Information

The Redbank Valley Trail is a 51-mile long scenic trail. It starts not far below East Brady where Redbank Creek meets the Allegheny and ends in Brookville, PA. In the town of Lawsonham the Sligo Spur trail splits off the Redbank Valley Trail and heads north for about 9 miles towards the town of Sligo. The Redbank Valley Trail is a 51 mile long scenic trail. It starts not far below East Brady where the Redbank Creek meets the Allegheny and ends in Brookville, PA. About 42 miles of the trail follows closely with Red Bank Creek. There are a couple tunnels and bridges that are part of the trail. The trail is level with a 1% average grade except at Middle Run where a missing bridge has been replaced with ramps that have a 9-11% grade. In the town of Lawsonham the Sligo Spur trail splits off the Redbank Valley Trail and heads north for about 9 miles.
